Day 1: Arrival in Florence
Immerse yourself in the unique atmosphere of Florence, the cradle of the Renaissance. After your independent arrival and hotel check-in, relax and prepare for the tour with an online briefing. If you’ve opted for bike rental, your bike will be delivered directly to your hotel.
Day 2: Florence – Greve in Chianti (50 km, 790 m Elevation Gain)
Your adventure begins with a visit to Florence's iconic landmarks, including the Duomo, Piazza della Signoria, and Ponte Vecchio. As you ride through the gentle hills of Chianti, enter a world of vineyards and winemaking traditions. The day ends in Greve in Chianti, famous for its wine and as the birthplace of explorer Giovanni da Verrazzano.
Day 3: Greve in Chianti – Siena (45 km, 1160 m Elevation Gain)
This stretch takes you through the heart of Chianti Classico, a postcard-perfect landscape of vine rows and ancient castles. Cycling along the white gravel roads, synonymous with Tuscan cycling, you’ll reach Siena, the city of the Palio, known for its majestic Piazza del Campo and stunning cathedral.
Day 4: Siena – Volterra (56 km, 1030 m Elevation Gain)
After exploring the treasures of Siena, continue along the Via Francigena and the Via del Sale. Pedal through charming villages and hills until you reach Volterra, a town rich in Etruscan history and renowned for its alabaster craftsmanship.
Day 5: Volterra – Pisa (68 km, 260 m Elevation Gain)
This is the longest but most scenic leg of the journey. Cross the calanchi, a landscape shaped by natural erosion, and enjoy views of the Tuscan Archipelago islands. Upon arriving in Pisa, admire the Leaning Tower and the beautiful Piazza dei Miracoli.
Day 6: Pisa – San Miniato (54 km, 240 m Elevation Gain)
From Pisa, follow the Arno River as you cycle along bike paths and country roads to San Miniato, a medieval village renowned for its white truffles and panoramic historic center.
Day 7: San Miniato – Florence (48 km, 170 m Elevation Gain)
The final stretch takes you back to Florence along the Arno River cycle path. Enjoy a relaxing, flat ride to conclude your adventure with a toast to the beauty of Tuscany.
